Scale-Master Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Needed a fun project that could be finished over the weekend. Stumbled across a re-release of the old Wierd-Oh's kit this after finishing the last Tiki Hut and was still in the mood for playing with textures, washes, and drybrushing. Built straight out of the box, it was just the ticket for enjoying the hobby before diving into a more comprehensive project. Mostly painted with Tamiya acrylics and Testors enamels, lots of brush painting after the basic main colors were sprayed. Distressing the wood was the most fun for me on this build...
Dragline Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I'm sooooo right with you on this one. I just posted Dave Deals Van as a way to get away from more challenging projects. This is probably the best this kit has EVER been done. A Classic in every sense. Bob F
70elcamino Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 You did a great job, I enjoy those monster rod kits. Russell
James Flowers Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Very well done. I like the way the wood looks. I started one of these but never finished it. You have me wanting to work on mine again.
