Dr. Cranky Posted September 3, 2009 Author Posted September 3, 2009 Thanks, maties . . . no, there won't be a base for this one. I think I'm just going to move on to my next project, which came to me in a dream last night. I'm bracing for some interesting building ahead. Stay tuned in!!! THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR INPUT!!!
pstreet Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 You don't need no stinkin' door handles. Great finishing touches Cranky.
Alyn Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Yeh, leaving the holes in the doors with no handles is a nice touch, as is the fogging of the glass. That old glass tends to do that. [broken record]Your weathering techniques are very impressive[/broken record], but with that much of a rust patina I'd expect a few small dents here and there. But that's nit pick'n. She's one nice looking car. I have to say though, if you posted these updates in real time, your speed is more impressive than the weathering!
Jantrix Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Stay tuned in for more progress, for this one is just about done although tragedy almost struck when I went to place the interior tub into the body. It took several attempts and broken pieces to get everything to fit just right. LOL, you glued the rear wheel wells in place before you put the interior in! HAHA! Now I don't feel so bad. I did the same thing with my three window.
Dr. Cranky Posted September 4, 2009 Author Posted September 4, 2009 Ha! So true, and it almost cost me the whole build too. I don't know why I always forget to glue them last . . . this is like the third time I do this . . . I guess you can't teach an Old Cranky Goat new tricks, eh?
