Build Up Boy Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I've got maybe 18 pictures stored from my camera on my PC ( for my W.J. Pro Stock) and for some reason when I try to post any of them it tells me that the Upload failed due to size. I've tried resizing to various heights and widths, I've tried compressing the file and still no luck. Any suggetions would be a GREAT help. What is the size limitations here on this board. I mean Height & Width, Percentage and do I need to Compress the pictures after resizing? I've posted a picture or 2 in the past but over the last 40 days nothing seems to work. I can't see tranfering pictures to Photo Bucket and then back to this board, wasted time. I should be able to post a picture right from my stored file. This is not an issue for me when posting pictures from my PC to other Forums. THANKS....Marty

THANKS....Marty Marty use photobucket....its not wasted time. to transfer 18 pix to photobucket at 54k it should take no more than 90 seconds. Then use the image line and post. I routinely shoot large photos...they will resize! this one is 1024x768 Its free and easy....I do not know any other way to post that many pix here......
Guest promodmerc Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 To post pictures here you have to use a photo hosting site like Photobucket, Fotki etc. There is only one forum I'm on (1:1) that allows you to post jpeg files and you must be a paying member to do so. Otherwise you have to use a hosting site as well. And at least here you can post as may pics in a post as you want. Nazi Auto only allows three pics per post.
Harry P. Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 When you post photos from an image-hosting site, the pictures appear in your post full size. If they are too big this site will automatically resize them. You can post photos directly from your hard drive. Just click on the "Browse" button at the bottom right of your message window, then click "Upload."Â If you post photos this way, they appear as very small thumbnails that you have to click on to see full size. Example: This photo was posted from my Photobucket site: This phot was posted directly from my hard drive:

And this is after I shrunk it to "E-Mail" size, the smallest on my size list. "Upload failed. The file was larger than the available space" Marty
Harry P. Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Don't know what the problem is. Max. single upload size if you upload directly from your hard drive is 8 MB. That's a big enough file size to accommodate any "email" sized photo. Maybe somebody else has an idea...
GOTH KUSTOMS Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 As an owner of a model forum, it's fotki, or photo bucket, and being a member of at least 6-8 of them, still fotki, or photo bucket, what else may help, is there is another photo site, calld I think shutterfly? not sure tho. But I went thru the same issues, and all I could post were thumbnails, then I got photo bucket, havent had an issue yet...
