Photo Base

I used my old photo base for a 1/25 scale diorama so I needed a new one.

I took a three foot by four foot piece of CDX plywood and skimmed it with sheetrock mud.

After allowing it to dry I sanded it and painted it flat black.

Then I sprayed two cans of automotive trunk paint to give texture and color.

I then fogged Wal Mart flat black over the top to dull it some.

Heres the finished piece.

This is a 1/6 scale diecast for reference,

An easy, cheap afternoon build that will last for a long time and can be used for multiple scales.

Hey, that's nice! I've shot some pics of models on my driveway, but it looks way too "rocky". Your base looks real!
