Mike Chernecki Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Does anyone know of a resin Charger 500 Grille to fit the Revell 1969 Charger? Or a 1968 Coronet Grille that fits? I was going to try the old MPC Charger 500 grille, but after finally opening the kit after all these years, I find it has a normal Charger front grille and not the 500 grille.
Mike Chernecki Posted September 17, 2009 Author Posted September 17, 2009 My older issue of the Charger 500 (AMT kit #6284) has the correct grill in it. Some one pull a switch or somehow you ended up with the wrong tree. Also my Charger Daytona, AMT kit #6278 has the charger 500 tree in it. As I understand it however that was a fluke and not too many were produced that way before it got changed to the regular grill. I looked at the recent re issue of the Daytona and it has the regular grill in it. I know it don't help your dilemma but it may give you some more options at least as to what kits had that grill. Also, give Modelhaus a try. They might have it in chromed resin. Do not know how ever if it'll fit the Revell charger. Paul Just my luck, my Charger 500 has the regular grille in it. I just checked the Daytona kit and it also has the regular grille in it also. I may check Modelhaus. Has anyone ever tried fitting the original 1968 Coronet grille in the Charger?
