LUKE'57 Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 There was a special race and ceremony honoring the old drivers and owners a couple of Saturdays ago at the track I do some announcing at. They did a "walk of fame" with right footprints in the concrete and all. But the highlite for me was getting to load up the band I play with and entertain the racers before the main ceremonies. Not sure just what we're doing right here but I know I got to do a couple of my originals about a certain business conducted on those two lane roads up in the mountains. That's me in the "old school" racing uniform white pants and red shirt. We had a ball.
LUKE'57 Posted September 29, 2009 Author Posted September 29, 2009 (edited) Nope, there was a MAJOR problem at Lancaster a couple of years ago that is still fermenting so we shook the dust of that place off our feet, after forty some odd years. It was shot at I-77 Speedway (originally Chester Speedway) that I started out as first track photographer when it opened in the early eighties. Now my son is the current track photographer and I do the victory lane interviews. Seem like home to us. Mark, please forgive me for asking, my memory is shot these days, but are you the one that sent me the blues DVD's? I've just about got my DVD burner straightened out and I owe somebody some music. LUKE'57 Posted September 29, 2009 Author Posted September 29, 2009 Oh well, Lester Flatt might be proud of me but Mike Hammer ain't. Pretty shoddy detective work on my part. LOL

LUKE'57 Posted September 29, 2009 Author Posted September 29, 2009 So Luke, Are you white shirt, red shirt, or blue shirt? Banjo, guitar, or fiddle? Gary I'm red shirt/guitar. That guy on the left is playing a mandolin, we're still looking for the right banjo player.
LUKE'57 Posted September 29, 2009 Author Posted September 29, 2009 Cool pic, Jerry! Love to hear those songs ... is there a place online where one could listen to 'em? If not, well why not? I'll see if my son can work that out. Man, if I had just known I could have included a whole two hour show with the bongos. Maybe next shipment.
