Oldboychas Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Hi. This post is directed to all the western Pa. modelers. I'm lookingfor a goog LHS that has detailing supplies, diferent glues and all that kind of stuff. I live in Johnstown and get to Pgh. every two to three mos. Is it worth the detour or should I just order online......All we have here is a Michaels and it sucks!!! THANKS, Still trying to get my fingers unglued. oldboychas (Charlie Bower)

Oldboychas Posted October 6, 2009 Author Posted October 6, 2009 Kurt, Thanks for the info. That sure beats driving around Pgh.....That place can get crazy! If I can ever repay the favor, just let me know. Charlie
LoneWolf15 Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Charlie, AB Charles is right outside of Pgh. in the South Hills . Very easy to find , it is located in Mt Lebanon. Scott carries quite a bit when it comes to paint , glue ,kits , etc . 10,000 square feet of sales area with a little bit for everyone , regardless of what hobby you are involved in ! Donn
gasman Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Hobby Express. about 14-15 miles north of downtown off Interstate 79. not the biggest selection of paints but they have a huge selection of current and out of production kits. very easy to find. on Rt. 228 in Cranberry. just look for the Target. its in the same shopping center. A.B. Charles in the one I recommend. huge selection of paints and kits. free parking (If you knew where they used to be you'd appreciate that). Its easy to find but its not in a building you'd expect. it used to be a Day Care. it looks like a barn. There are a few smaller hobby shops here and there, and a couple HobbyTown USA's but I recommend those two.
Oldboychas Posted October 7, 2009 Author Posted October 7, 2009 Donn and Terry, Thanks for the LHS info. I'll try to make it to one of the shops on my next few trips to "Da Burg". Yuns have bin helpful. If I can return the favor, just let me know. Still trying to get my fingers unglued. oldboychas (Charlie Bower) GO STEELERS !!!!!!!!!!!
