Dave Darby Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Dave Darby's Groovy Photo GalleryI am pretty darn proud to have been along for the ride. Here is the cover I did for you 8 years ago, along with the logo I designed. Thank you, Rik Hoving for the Photoshop lessons! Dave Darby's Groovy Photo Gallery
Eshaver Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Dave , I still have that magazine . Has it really been ten years ? Iv'e sure enjoyed the issues ! Ed Shaver
Lyle Willits Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Oddly enough, that issue is my favorite one also!!!
RodBurNeR Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 I already replied once and deleted it....reluctant to spew my own feelings.....BUT I think I will just say what I have on my mind for the 10th anniversary. I only started taking photos in July 2007, I am still learning and have goals set for myself to be even better so I can represent MCM to the fullest. This magazine has been my favorite since I saw it on the shelf in 1999ish...can't remember exactly. At the time I think it was pretty fresh (obviously) I never saw another issue until I met Darryl Gassaway and he is the one that got me back on track with it. It was also Darryl that introduced me to Gregg and got me set up to do my first coverage. I guess I have done 10-15 by now and each time it's a lot of fun and an honor! Here is my favorite issue. I took the cover photos and have 18 pages inside. Unofortunaely Steve Cote was killed in a car accident and he didn't get to see his model on the cover or the center fold. I have been very fortunate to meet people I may not have met....because of the opportunity I embraced with MCM. Thank you Gregg and Darryl! and this is probably the most inspiring issue because of the cover.....Gregg I read that this is the most requested cover to make a poster......I AGREE!! I also want a calendar still! that cover inspired me to tear my room apart and have some fun!
Eshaver Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Don't some of ya'all wish A M T would re- issue the 61 Ford F-10 with the trailer , the Ski - Drag boat , and of course the 62 Buick Special wagon ? Ed Shaver

Jairus Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 that cover inspired me to tear my room apart and have some fun! Bob, that is just too cool! Provided your original photo is digital, full resolution and in color... I think you should submit it to Gregg for a cover. Really! Gregg... you going to let me do another one of those someday? Jairus
RodBurNeR Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Dave, yep that's the one! I have it tucked away for now hehe! Jairus, that would be cool! I took them in Sepia and have one in black and white. There are several more angles and such too.
