hey everyone, i have found these geo metro models on the net, and i am very intrested in them. i would like to know if the guy who built these is on here! i have sent an email to the addy on the site, i am waiting to see if i can get answer! and i figure i would share the site with you fellow modelers, lol!

He's Joel Dirnberger... his work has been featured in Scale Auto Enthusiast in the past, years ago, but I haven't heard or seen anything from him in many years. And at the bottom of his site it says "this page last updated June 2003"... so it's been a while!

Joel is from Monticello, MN, 34 miles from me. He, at least at one time, not sure about now, was a mamber of the club I was in, MCCM, Model Car Club of Minnesota. I think he was taking pictures at NNL North for a article either in MCM or SA. I know he was going to resin cast those Metros at one time, but not sure what has happened to the plans. Would be interested myself.

Hey, I got onnea them! Only paid about 10 bucks for it at our Toy show. Not much more that what a real one goes for nowdays! I THINK it's gonna get Pro-Stocked out. Finally gonna make it's dreams come true! :):D;)

Perty cool work turning a Geo Storm into a Geo Metro Convertible.

A Resin cast one would've been nice.

oh, really? have you seen him recently? i would like buy one or several :D , lol! and oh ok, well there have been several on the site, so i think he had casted them, but yeah.

I actually know Joel and the Geo Metro Convert master is at Norm Weber's house! It has been there for years and it doesn't sound like it will be produced.

hey bro! oh really??????? you want to sell it, or trade it, or something? i really want one! i used to have a geo metro 5door hatchback, and i have a soft spot for these little 3cyl cars, lol!!!!!

Wasnt Joel taking pictues in the back room at NNL North this year? Sure wish someone would sumbit coverage so we can see it in MCM

Heck, I'd go for one or two of them myself.

I got 2 Geo Storms but couldn't do the great job he has done.
