Model of 1930 Ford Model AA Stake Truck

Hi -

In the 1:1 truck listing I have my a picture of my 1:1 truck.

I'm doing a model of it.

I'm using the Revell '29 Ford 3 in 1 Rat Rod for all the '29 parts - cab, engine and all sheet metal.

I'm using the Min Craft 1931 closed cab pickup at 1:16 for the frame and drivetrain.

Hi Vicky,

Sounds interesting, combining the two scales. If you'd like to keep it all 1/25, I know a lot of builders that do AA trucks use the Italeri 'Opel Blitz' kit frame as a foundation on which to mount many American early truck bodies. The kit isn't widely available, but may be worth the effort in finding it. Good luck with the replica project!

Is this Opel Blitz kit the 1/35 scale? thats all i see on ebay atleast.

Matt, what you gonna use for wheels? ive been searching forever for AA/BB style 1 ton wheels. (like these)
