kerc Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Any experience with their stuff? Everything looks yummylicious, well-designed, and the price is right. How was it buying from them? Quality of parts? I'm really interested in getting some of their stuff. Thanks!
crispy Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 I have to echo Dave's comments. Really nice quality stuff. Here is a set of the kick wheels I bought. Chris
shucky Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 (edited) I have a bunch of their photoetch and multimedia tire/wheel kits and the quality is excellent. Very very nice stuff. FYI, although I love their tire/wheel kits ... watch out for the tires, they turn white (chalky) with age. You need to give them a little lube of Armor All (tip given to me by DaveZinn.. thanks Dave!) Edited October 28, 2009 by shucky
showrodfreak Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Killer Stuff. Their packaging is outstanding
crazyjim Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Kinda pricey for me - $30.00 for a set of wheels/tires.
crazyjim Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 I use a lot of Pegasus wheel/tie combos ($10.00) and their disc brakes ($4.00) so twice the money seems stiff. But the wheels look good. Isn't shipping expensive? Maaybe I need to take another look.
Guest promodmerc Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 Kinda pricey for me - $30.00 for a set of wheels/tires. That's a lot cheaper than 1:1
Ben Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 Do they have a website? Looks like they have some cool stuff!

Ben Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 I have to echo Dave's comments. Really nice quality stuff. Here is a set of the kick wheels I bought. Chris Are the centers of the wheels photo etch or are they milled aluminum?

shucky Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 (edited) The wheel centers are not aluminum, they are all photoetched. The outer rim blanks are machined aluminum. The photoetched center gets positioned (sandwiched) between the two outer wheel blanks (front/rear). Edited October 30, 2009 by shucky
crispy Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Mike, I guess I should have reread that. You are correct, the wheel center is photo-etch and the outer rim is aluminum. I was looking at the very center of the wheel, disc, thinking that was what he was asking as it is turned aluminum. Sorry about that. Chris

The packaging is a nice touch too. Edited October 30, 2009 by Plastic Freak
