Janne Herajärvi Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 I put all my future 50´s projects on this topic. Also if i build some 30s or 40s rods or customs in 50s style ill put them here too. I just dont want too many topics in workbench section becouse they are easier find from same topic First couple new pics of my `55 Chevy. Then `49 Merc witch is going to be like `50s style custom. Some scallops etc Well now it is just in primer. Then `57 Chrysler 300C witch is going to be almost like factory stock, just little differences in color choices. Oh and its OOB build then And here those bodies are taking bath So these two are going to be my first paint jobs with my new airbrush when i get it Cheers...

Corvette.Jeff Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 (edited) those are looking good! a small tip for the airbrush painting, when starting to paint the body always start your flow away from the car, then move towards either end of the body, like side to side motion, always put paint the length of the body, never stop in middle of the body or youll get teh globs of paint that you got, you should be albe to sand that down then repaint it. Also when painting with an airbrush always do light coats, the first coat doesnt even have to cover every part of the body. use paint as if it were gold! very sparingly! Just trying to help out friend Jeff. Edited November 20, 2009 by ThatOneEmoKid
Janne Herajärvi Posted November 20, 2009 Author Posted November 20, 2009 (edited) Thank you Jeff! That is how i paint, but something went wrong with that Chrysler. I think i used thinner too much and paint was too thin when i tryed to brush it in the body. I dont never start or stop on the body as you said BTW nice truck in your avatar Edited November 20, 2009 by Janne Herajärvi

Janne Herajärvi Posted November 27, 2009 Author Posted November 27, 2009 Getting closer to final Must clean those whitewalls from dust
Modellpularn Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 It just begs for scallops in red, with white pinstriping......
kustoms Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 A very nice clean build so far I disagree though with adding the scallops and the pinstripng for it will disrupt the beautifull lines of the body clean and simple looks the best ! Keep up the great work! Bud Ellis Kustoms
