  5. Hello All , Im buiding a 1/25 scale 1970 Ls6 Chevelle SS. It will be Black with White SS strips on the hood and trunk. I fear that the black will bleed thru after the decals are put on? I can paint on the strips but the fine stripe around the outside edges will be difficult too do. should I double decal the stripes? or can sombody make me some good quality white SS strips that will cover the black with out bleed thru? any help and suggestion will be very apprecaitive thanks for your time.... 9. harry P is correct basecoats are used first especially with kandy colors . Gold , Silver, copper all give a kandy color a differant hue when used for base coats The kandy color is transperant and you will see the tinted basecoats underneeth Most all full size paints are now acryilic or ureathein when using any especialially automotive paint its very important too use a resperator cuz the paint fumes will cryslize your lungs and thats not good, The pluse side of using these type paints is fast drying time some as early as 20 minuets befor apling top coats try that with enamels hahahah good luck with your painting endeavers Bud Ellis Kustoms

  17. Im no know it all but this is defanatly not a factory stock car its a nice restored T/A wheels are not correct for the year the suspension has been modified airshocks and stiffer front suspension come on guys look at the trim and the marker lights and the underneeth details,, chrome exaust tips have also been added ...This Is A Real Car !
  18. It really all depends on what style you build Are going close too stock or high tech Foose style ? ethier way Tan is defanatly the way too go for the interior Black is too dark and hides the details on such a small model car You could even two tone the interior with the tan and body color if you'd like The rootbeer color would haft too have some flat on top of it too cut the gloss Hope this helps? Its your model do it any way you like Its gonna be very nice what ever you choose keep up the great work! Bud Ellis Kustoms
  19. I say real look at that window trim and interior detail Bud Ellis Kustoms

  21. Very kool Im looking foward too the one off futuristic interior dezine with camera for rear view and wrap around insterments for dash think fighter jet or space shuttle mabey single center seating for personal transpertation a driver's cocoon so too speak any thing you come up with is sure too be kool keep up the great work! Bud Ellis kustoms
  22. A very nice clean build so far I disagree though with adding the scallops and the pinstripng for it will disrupt the beautifull lines of the body clean and simple looks the best ! Keep up the great work! Bud Ellis Kustoms
  23. Very interesting I like your dezine and your enthusiazim is very insperational Im taking notes and I defanatly want too try this someday I just haft too come up with a dezine.... Please keep up the great work and keep posting your WIP's thank you. Bud Ellis Kustoms
  24. Looks great Bill I always liked the AMT 57 better too. however the side trim is wrong right behind the doors ie picture I posted .... it drops off too suddenly before the flaired insert it should gradualy drop into the rear starting in the middle of the door... One could sand off the trim and make it from scratch out of evergreen strip but thats alot of work.. Your photo etch kit will make up for it Id leave it as is Its not that big a deal keep goin on this one your doing a great job! Bud Ellis Kustoms
