1320wayne Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Here is a quick, finished build. I picked up the AMT 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 right after it came out and I finally decided what to do with it. Its finished in Testors Burgundy Metallic with added graphics from an AMT/Model King Challenger funny car kit as well as Scale Motorsports carbon fiber decals for the lower rocker panels. The tires and wheels are Aoshima aftermarket pieces. I added some extra details to the interior but after the model is finally assembled you really can't see anything. There are magazines in the back seat along with a Mopar drivers uniform hanging in the back but they are almost unknown due the darkness of the interior. The license plate and frame on the rear of the car were created on my computer.
Tony T Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Very nice build. I like the colour, and the decals.
jbwelda Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 nice looking and theres no need to apologize for unseen detail youve added. you know its in there and besides, if the car ever does suffer a fall, at least the pieces will look real! that challenger looks cool down in the weeds!
Bernard Kron Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 The stance is terrific. It really improves the look of the car immeasurably. The color scheme goes very well with the new wheels, too. Really nice build.
crispy Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Nice! I love the colorful stripe, it matches the paint very well. I also like the use of CF for the rockers and rear. Great work! Chris
janositamas Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Cool job, I really like the body color for being different!
