Eshaver Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Adam, I looked around the link . Some of the pieces were to me , well " Chunky " . Im sure they meant well too. Iv'e seen some of Scale Equipment's stuff first hand from the Foothills I P M S Show this year in Charlotte N C or should I say Hendersonville . regardless, The overall diorama is good , to me. I'll still scratchbuild a lot of stuff as I think I can do a better more realistic job . i was offered on a couple of ocassions the opportunity to visit and buy from some resin casters soda machines . I beleive Capt Bondo gave me the links too. I looked at what was there and decided to scratch build what I needed . Ther stuff looked good too. The one item that really stands out is the hydraulic lift . I hope you didn't make it as the thing is a scale several inches too thick ! You're holding up a plastic model , not the Titanic . The tool boxes look very nice however and if I were in the market for a Snap- On box , circa 1985, yep I'd buy a couple ! The thing to remember when you're doing a diorama is watch with a " Conservative eye " ! What may look good on the shelf dosen't always translate when it gets glued to the diorama base . Carefully scale your brain out to the size you are working on ! I mean it ! When I'm doing Doll Houses , I am usually asked to work in 1-12th scale , totaly diferent than 1-24th scale too. What I can get away with in a larger scale dosen't nessesarilly mean you can get away with it in a smaller dimension . Course too, these are just my random thoughts from an aging , " OVER THE HILL HIPPY FREAK " . Thanks for sharing the garage with us ! Ed Shaver
JamesW Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 (edited) The garage looks like a SMBC kit. I plan to get one soon, with LOTS of goodies to go in it. Looks good. *****And after checking the link it turns out to be a SMBC kit. Guess I shoulda checked that first. ***** Edited November 16, 2009 by grimreaper

It looks nice when it's done, but how's getting there? Charlie Larkin
