Cal, are they the little wooden cars from (I think) germany,with the interchangeable parts? I have seen them at Macy's Dept.store. They have about 3/4 different cars.They are kinda expensive for what they are.(wooden cars)

apparently related to the old Hudson "Old Timers" which were also 3/4 " scale and wood.

Nope not German, made in New York.

Says here cheaper plastic kits killed them.
