Steve D. Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 Hi , I'm looking for a source for some Mickey Thompson valve covers to go on a 392 Hemi from the Willy's hot-rod or the Stone , Woods , and Cook gasser. Resin , Plastic or metal it does not matter . I'm building a replica of a friends car and it has these . They just have a large M/T on them . TIA , Steve D.
Guest zebm1 Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 This resin site has some M/T hemi valve covers http://www.afxnscaleresin.150m.com/drag_ra...accessories.htm ,I've even linked ya right to tha page, good luck.

Guest zebm1 Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 Hey Steve, was looking thru some old issues of Scale Auto magazine, Dec. 2004, and on tha cover is a picture of Ken Bensching's "T" Altered. Not sure which 'engine' Ken used but tha valve covers look like Hemi "M/T" valve covers. In tha article, Ken says he got tha valve covers from: Replicas & Minatures Company of Maryland 317 Roosevelt Ave., SW Glen Burnie, MD 21601 410-768-3648 38 page catalog - $4.00; Visa/Mastercard Service I checked my Dec. 2006 issue and it seems they are still in business at tha same address and phone number, unfortunately no Web Addy. Hope this helps ya in yur search Steve. Hmmm, yu might check with Lyle Willits, check tha "NEW Chopper Parts posting."
JOHN_BISCI Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Does anyone (resincasters, etc.) make accurate M/T big-block Chevy valve covers? The ones in the AMT dirt Modifieds and (very old and expensive) AMT Funny Hugger II Funny Car are much too small and of incorrect shape. I have a pair of the real thing in my garage and nothing comes close..... I build models of old ('60s, '70s) asphalt Modifieds from the Northeast (www.Turn5Photo.com, www.vintagemodifieds.com) and the engines are mostly exposed -- "ya can't fake it." Thanks, John
62rebel Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 IIRC; the AMT 53 ford flipnose f100 has M/T valve covers on a blown 427.
mademan Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 all i can say is check PSF hobbies. ive spent a couple 100$ on parts there inthe last 2 months and they have pretty much everything. I got m/t chevy covers in big and small block and im sure he had dodge ones of all sizes too
