Nitrozilla Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 (edited) Hi Pholkz, I REALLY tried to stop building when I rebooted my life. It was time to simplify things. Since my attempt at stopping failed miserably, I opted to stop Kitbashing and start knockin out some SERIOUS although general and non-specific nostalgia drag racing (may be read as PHUNNY KARZ) modeling. Focus Joe, focus. Anyway, I'm back. Formerly Kitbasher at Starship Modeler. I'll start with a pre stoppage model that will give you a basic idea of exactly how insane I am. Later, I'll show y'all some pics of my mascot, Mr. Bruce W Batzilla. After that, some in-progress pics of an in-progress AMT Stardust Digger that I have in-progress. Quite a few modifications such as a 4 bar roll cage, T/F front and rear wings, Pegasus tires and wheels (Sweetness), and in an act of total insanity, made the steering linkage hook up INSIDE the body. Did I mention I hinged the body? No? Sorry. Did I mention that I stopped kitbashing. Yeah, thought so...... So enjoy the pics for now. I'm not what you would call a regular poster and I'm not the fastest builder in the world, thanx to World of Warcraft, but I'm sure you'll like my stuff. Kinda' my little way of saying Thank You for allowing me to see your stuff and steal any really kewl concepts and techniques I may take a fancy to. You're Welcome. Oh, before somebody asks, yes, I'm really really old (57), but hey, deal with it. I have to. Joe =/\= "It not who I am inside, but what I do, that defines me," Edited December 7, 2009 by Batzilla

Nitrozilla Posted December 8, 2009 Author Posted December 8, 2009 Permission granted. This whole hobby is about the recognition of each other's work and inspiring others in kind. The full plaque reads "The Original Batfink". It's a tribute to Ed Roth and the whacked out inspiration that he provided. Take one PL 60's Batmobile, one Mr. Gasser monster, stir gently. Add a group of Big 'Ol Honkin accessories from an American Muscle Willy's, bring to a rolling boil. Blend in some Bat-Goodies like the spinners, cape, chain (I used an earring for the medallion on the chain). Vigorously apply 5 coats of Krazy Kolors purple / blue / orange color changing paint. Finally, haul buns down to the local trophy shop, pick out a base, order an engraved plaque and VOILA! Glad you like it. More to come. I always do off the wall stuff. Except that after I finish the Stardust Digger, I'm gonna knock out a box stock Kenz & Leslie Wynn's 777 for a diorama I'm gonna have done by summer (?). I'll be recreating a real life scene where I get covered in rubber from Don Schumacher's '68 Barracuda while I was takin a pic of the K & L car in the staging lanes. I thought they were 'sposed ta wait 'til they got the car on the actual racing surface. But, that's just me, I guess... Until later, Joe =/\=
