I'm currently "building" a set of tires. What I've done it cut up a set of monster truck kit tires and have put them back together with ca glue. My issues is there are gaps and imperfection that I'd like to fix. Does anyone know of a compound that will bound to this material and still be sandable once set?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Permatex and 3M make products for repairing rubber and soft-plastic trim pieces on cars, maybe you could try that? I've never run into this problem, but I can't think of anything I've personally used that will bond to the vinyl AND be sandable.

Thanks for the thought George, but I have my doubts that it would be sandable. But I will contact 3M tech support they may have some suggestions.

Evercoat and others make a flexable 2 part filler for use on bumpers and other flexi trim parts......it does sand!

Thanks Mike,

I'll check it out, not sure if we can get it up here in Canada. Sounds like it would do the trick, I'll check with Parts Source and other body repair supply shops, they'll have something similar.
