rronning84 Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 I just bought this online. I have never built it. What can you guys tell me about it. Biggest thing I want to know is how hard is it to make in to a day cab?
Jim B Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 It's actually pretty easy as the cab & sleeper are seperate; and the sleeper is a crawl-through type. The cab is already set to make it a daycab.
rronning84 Posted December 14, 2009 Author Posted December 14, 2009 That is exactly what I wanted to hear, you are the man. You just made my day.
Jim B Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Well, thanks. Tim's the real Peterbilt guru, though. I'm sure he's built several of these kits.
mackinac359 Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Probably AMT's best truck kit.. The only problem with the kit is that the hood is removable, not tilting. As said above, the sleeper is an option. When you build the cab, install the rear window "glass" and leave the sleeper off, install the extra deck plate included and you're all set. The 1st version of the kit was issued as a day cab. Tim
rronning84 Posted December 14, 2009 Author Posted December 14, 2009 Thanks for the info Tim. The ones you have built look great.
