Hello everyone... Been lurking here for a little bit and am truly impressed by all of the skill among the membership! Your projects have inspired me to try my hand (built a model about 7 years ago, and enjoyed it). I wanted to tackle something that was a bit more "fun" than a box stock build, and settled on a Ford Lightning. I decided to go the hot rod, 1/4 mile route, allowing me some custom touches along the way. Utilizing wheels from a 1:18th Porsche model I bought years back (I am a Porsche fanatic), I tubbed the front and rear in preparation for some big rubber. Cut the holes from the grill and intake areas up front, and smoothed out the logo's and door handles. The frame is a candy (Testor's) blue, interior and all details are matte black (no chrome for me) and the body will be shot in Gunship Grey (in tribute to my 1:1 below).

Any tips, tricks, comments and inspiration are appreciated! ;)
