I wanna do a build - But seeing as all my tools are in my storage area - I'm gonna see what I can do with a few tools I can buy without breaking the bank.

My vision of the finished product is flat black or army green, with the optional blower poking through the hood and slammed to the ground.

Problems I see - The blower drive is woefully inadequate and the tires included in the kit are SO narrow they could NEVER hook up a Blown 440. SO I'm thinking about using the rear slicks and wheels from the recent Revell Firebird kit - they are 1/25 scale but look so big on the Firebird - so I'll see what they look like on the Coronet.

I'm hoping to exercise basic skills with this build - I think most of the detailing is gonna be paint. I most likely won't include wiring, flocking, or photo-etch. I will do bare metal foil however - painting chrome really sucks.

Updates will be sporadic as I'm involved in a whole lot of other stuff.

I also wanna test my photo skills to get better pics for future builds.

This build is coming along SLOOOOOWWWWWWWW. Trying to buy a business, sell a house and take care of my mother-in-law is a bit time consuming.

Here goes - Olive drab out of a Krylon can. Stars on side sprayed through a star cut out of a file folder - see pics. It will be slammed with black bumpers and wheels - contrasted with a chrome grill and taillight panel. The wheels will be the kit's custom Centerline style wheels - painted black with rivet and lug detail.

Maybe I'll get more done in the next month or two. Not having a bench shucks!

Looks pretty nice.

I did this kit in flat black but i converted mine to rc car, i didn't want to use the blower that was in the kit so i got a aftermarket one. I also used the wrong clear lol.
