vizio93 Posted January 12, 2010 Author Posted January 12, 2010 One thing to remember when adapting that tunnel ram to the 4.6/5.4 from the GT500/Cobra series........the heads are dual port per cylinder (or at least my Lincoln MKVIII LSC 'B' heads are). I like the idea of the tunnel-ram set up; how about building it with EFI fuel rails and injectors, and turn the carbs into throttle-bodies? Something like this : I guess I could, but I dunno, It might be a little while before I can work on it. I'll see what I can come up with
Custom Hearse Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 (edited) Mmmmmmm, a light or dark blue ? I have a nice light blue, but I've always loved dark blue. I'll see what other colors I got downstairs. Dark blue... And... What is THAT!?!? Edited January 13, 2010 by Custom Hearse
whale392 Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 Not quite like that intake, but that IS sexy! Drill the intake as it were for standaed EFI and just detail the carbs to look like throttle bodies instead of carbs.

Ahh like these: I think I will do the conversion. http://www.hotrodsolutions.net/IntakesEFI.html This Is a pretty good website for reference pics. I like the before and after pics, they definitely help in doing this. Marshall- I think I will do dark blue and silver. It sounds like a good combo Hopefully some updates tonight !!!
whale392 Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Billy, that is what I am talking about (in the above link)! I think it will add a little sophistication to the 'old school'; tying the modern wheels and engine in nicely with the vintage of the paint and 'style' of the car.
Guest JamesDE Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 This is lookin sweet bro!! I like the exhaust stacks. Gives it a more menacing look.
vizio93 Posted January 14, 2010 Author Posted January 14, 2010 Thanks guys !!! I guess I lied,, I should have updates at least by this weekend.
Custom Hearse Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 Thanks guys !!! I guess I lied,, I should have updates at least by this weekend. YOU LIED!?! Well, I never... Okay... I'll wait... But I won't be happy!
Nick Winter Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 Ok more updates !!! I got the Tunnel Ram intake mocked up onto the engine, still have to paint it. I've still got to adjust how the engine sits and how I'm going to adjust the floorboards, cause the transmission sits a little higher now. Heres some pics : Hers the velocity stacks I'll most likely use Now I'm thinkin that a set of these would look perty good on there but it will take a little work to cut a hole in the bed and run the exhaust to it. Or maybe a couple of these ? Thanks for looking Hey Billy she looks great, I know were you got the wheels a Matisto Chevy SSR, I had one of them.

Well you'll be happier than your cat :P Actually a Tazmainian Devil on fire jumping into a barrel of rabid monkeys while fighting with an antelope, would be happier than your cat Edited January 15, 2010 by vizio93

cobra98 Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 Nice,...The exhaust stacks make it look sharp.

vizio93 Posted January 18, 2010 Author Posted January 18, 2010 Any updates? I hate to say it, but I lied again . It was a busy weekend, and I just had no time to sit down at the 'ole workbench. Updates as soon as I can
Corvette.Jeff Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 (edited) if your still stuck on the interior(trans tunnel) heres a little inspiration. I cut the hole in the middle of the floor where it would allow the trans from the engine i was using(an ls7 from a c6 ) to scoot up in there and not hit anything, it also allowed me to channel the body donw on the frame some here it is with a supercharged 283, with a powerglide i believe. Just a little inspiration, keep it up! Edited February 2, 2010 by ThatOneEmoKid
Chuck Most Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Trans tunnell? ! I say go with an open floor!
vizio93 Posted February 3, 2010 Author Posted February 3, 2010 Thanks everybody for the nice comments !!! I have kinda been going through a little slump, and not really wanting to build anything. I hope I can get some more updates really soon for all of you guys. Jeff- That thing is wicked !!! I love how low it sits to the ground. Looks really nice man
