I talked dad into letting me post progress of his current build. He started with one Eric Jones 53 Ford Excab. The running gear is the flip nose version. tires and wheels in pics are mock up only. loads of hinge work and more to do. Hood scoop is a seat back with sheet stock sides. any questions just ask cause hes just a call away. Ill be updating as he wants to. stay tuned.

cool.gif Very cool project your Dad has goin' there Jason. Reminds me of the 1:1 52 Chebby 4door pu that I saw in a Truck Trader mag years ago. It had duallies under the full size bed, and a big Caddy engine under the hood. It was all in primer and the owner in Florida was selling it for 10 grand because of health reasons. I sooooooo wanted it! I could just see me driving it around town! Might hafta build it in 1/25........somedaytongue.gif

Lookin' forward to seeing your Dad's in paint.

Thanks guys. He came down and stole 4 41 willys street rod seats last night so I might be getting an interior update tonight. The sun roof was patterned after a Food Lion MVP card for the key chain. I also gave him some wheels for it also. Ill pass along the kind words and go get some more pics today sometime.

Very nice looking so far. I always wanted to do a 4 door which I read an article years ago most were for the Railroads only. I'm watchin this one!

I was thinking about doing one of the 53's in a 4 door version, the Extra cab is selling OK so maybe the 4 door 53' will happen sometime this year or I should say next year.

Dad has been at it again this time with new wheels and more plastic added. Wheels from Wagon Rod kit seats from a 41 willys kit. Seats turn 360 degrees. Motor is from the Saleen s281 kit that will be going on. I also sebt him a front frame section so he could build a new frame for it. Rear has a monogram sprint car quick change converted to solid tube style.

Update time. Frame is a modded 41 wills frame and rebuilt from the rear suspension mounts back. Rear trailing arms are scratch built. Quick change came from a monogram sprinter. He also added a rear roll pan and fender extension to make the rear blend in better. Enough of my ramblings heres the pics. What yall think?

I would be more than glad to but dad dont even understand the concept of a forum. I carry the laptop up there and show him yalls post. Ill be going up there tomorrow night for the shoot out laptop in hand. He is having a blast with this truck. I know my parts box is a little thinner because of it but I want him to enjoy it. I actually got him to use a big wheel on something for a change. Once they get the net and figure out how to use It Ill help him out to join up here.
