im pretty much limited to diecasts when it comes to cool cars, this is one of them. dont know the maker but this could give a styrene a run for its money

here it is after color the basecoat was HOK cobalt blue

this is how much paint was used @20 psi thinned with acrylic enamel thinner.

Wow !!! I really like that blue color. What wheels are you going to use, the ones that were on it look good, but some BBS's would look perty good on it too. Just my 2 cents :lol:

thanks its sort of a blurple blue is what the camera catches,nope going with the aoshima wheels painted in aclad or color matched rings.

I like the color but am confused....HOK cobalt blue base? what is on top? and why that reducer with HOK?

Or did you use the wallyworld Kustom Kolors?? Then that reducer makes sense...

More info please as I shoot a lot of HOK and am looking for that flip.....just doesn't look like a pearl.

the cobalt was a basecoat for the nailpolish since its semi transparent, the reducer is for the nailpolish.

i got some of that wally world stuff but havent been bothered to try it out yet

OK gotcha...makes sense now....try that reducer with the kustom kolors..it should work!!

LoLo, THAT looks COOL!!! I agree that first pic looks like a salvage job! Who makes it? an where'd ya get it from? Gonna hafta pay closer attention to them ol die casties, I LIKE me that ride!biggrin.gifwink.gif

Cool,I like your markings. Nice work! Maisto I think the Co. is? Italian? I used to strip those to if I couldn't find one in plastic.

thanks, i had ths thing for a year got it in a trade never did anything with it till now
