Corvette.Jeff Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Hi all! Next month im taking a bus up to Maryland and back. I was wondering if anybody knew if you could take basic modeling supplies on a bus? Like, the model itsself, superglue,a hobby knife, sandpaper. stuff like that. Thanks,Jeff.
Greg Cullinan Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 As far as I know you can. I don't believe they have any rules as to what your allowed to have. I would check with them ofcourse. Sounds like a nice trip.
Eshaver Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 To my knowlege , I havent heard anything from Greyhound or Trailways . I would check with a ticket agent first though . Have a wonderful trip ! Ed Shaver
RJWood Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 It should be ok, if you pack the items in your luggage. I don't think you can take it on the bus as carry on. But you should be ok. BTW, Happy belated Birthday Jeff. Have a good trip.
MikeMc Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I don't know if TSA works the buses.....if they do they might think you are Mc Givier with all that "stuff"
beefheart22 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 As long as you are packing it in your luggage to go under the bus you could bring a barrel of toxic waste and nobody would say anything.
Guest Mustang3.8 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 You might wanna be careful, since a guy here in Canada got his head chopped off on a Greyhound bus.

Harry P. Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 I once rode a bus with Chrisite Brinkley from Chicago to Denver... so I'd have to say yeah... you can take models on a bus!
oldcars Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Every couple years my wife and I go to Kansas City To the Heartland Nationals on the bus. The last time(two years ago) I brought all my model and supplies that I bought on the bus in a shopping bag and no-one said a word(had to change buses in Denver and no problem). Did end up having to talk modelcars with some people on the bus though. Richard

charlie8575 Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 TSA hasn't screwed up busses or trains yet, too much. That said, if you have your luggage in the under-floor storage, they shouldn't complain too much one way or the other anyway, as you can't really access it. Charlie Larkin
