I just started working on the 1/8 Turbo Trans/Am and the engine could need some more detailling. So I spent the last 2 days trying to find good reference material, but I can't find good Engine pictures.

What I need is pictures of the engine, out of the car. So Side, bottom, front (back).

Who can help me out? Everything is more than welcome,

Thanks,

Erik

That should be plenty. You can see the top details, the driver's side details, and the passenger side for the most part. The starter is on the driver's side, and the oil filter is on the passenger side coming out at about a 90 degree angle. Not sure what else there is to see.

The second picture in the first response shows the temp sensor in the intake next to the water neck, temp sender for the gauge on the LH side between the front two cylinders

The dipstick is also in most of the photos and can be seen pretty well in the LH shot of the engine out of the car (look behind the air cleaner and at the LH side of the rear of the block)

Doesn't seem to be much to see on the passenger side, just the oil filter and adapter and turbo junk

Thanks Chris,

I think I can do the sensors now, but still need a picture of the engine passenger side. I am building 1/8 scale and want to do my best on it.

I did see the dipstick on the passengerside, but I can't see where it goes into the engine-block and need to see how that looks like.

sorry if I am a pain in the butt, but I just want to reproduce the engine as genuine as possible, so I need to see that turbo-junk as well :D

The oil dipstick on the 301 was moved to the DRIVER'S side rear of the block and can be seen pretty well in the pic with the "High Performance Pontiac" magazine logo (the tube is shiny natural metal)

Really not much to see as far as passenger side- an exhaust manifold and the three pipes, oil filter sticking "straight out" as opposed to the regular Pontiac "vertical" adapter
