Greetings everyone,

Hey I just picked up a couple of the reissued Tommy Ivo front engine dragster...really looking forward to the build...but the kit doesn't have the proper size slicks. Judging by the scale size they're too wide. My guess is I'd be better off with the slicks from the MPC Ramchargers kits...right? Any help on confirming this (what did the original slicks look like?) would be much appreciated.

Any chance someone out there has a set or two up for grabs?

Cheers.

Hi Jerry I used the slicks from the Ramchargers that I had in a tire box. Here is a pic of the car and the way it came out , I hope this helps

thanks Chuck

All good suggestions!!! I used an old set of Monogram showrod slicks, and a rare set of MPC Halibrands on mine. Anything that you choose from the above suggestions will be better than the oversized tires that come in that kit....

BTW, anybody wondering how to mount the parachute on this kit, here's what I did....

Yes, the kit slicks are incorrect. The Ramchargers ones would be better, but, my understanding is that the ones you really need were in the MPC Ohio George Multi-Maverick that was recently a Model King limited-run reissue.

Don't have to offer you, man. Sorry.

Ken, the Ramchargers & Multi Maverick tires are one in the same bud!!!

Does anyone offer copies of the Multi Maverick/Ramchargers slicks in rubber resin? I am looking for the same type of tires to use on my Snake and Mongoose rails.
