Car Crazy 81 Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 (edited) Heres another project thats in the works i'd got a complete AMT 71 Duster from member disabled modeler which im gonna use as a donor the hard part of this project is finding a MPC 73 or 74 Duster body shell. I know they have a nice resin body from MCW but its pretty steep i'll just keep looking until i'd find one but for now i can start with the frame. Heres the car im replicating Edited February 7, 2012 by Car Crazy 81

Car Crazy 81 Posted January 23, 2010 Author Posted January 23, 2010 Nick- I just might add my Duster in your TV/Movie build-off i already have my "Vanishing Point" Challenger in there i'll add the Duster as well. Khart- I have plans on making the paddle im also building Wooderson's Chevelle from an old Monogram kit which im still working on little by little i need to order a P/E kit for it before long i'll wind up building all the cars from "Dazed And Confused" .
whale392 Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 I agree with the under-rating of this movie as a car movie (it somehow always gets labeled a teen angst movie....but it has so many cool cars in it). Good luck with the build.....now I have to go watch 'D&C' again..........anybody seen Stoney?!
Car Crazy 81 Posted February 19, 2010 Author Posted February 19, 2010 (edited) Heres some progress pics Edited February 7, 2012 by Car Crazy 81
Car Crazy 81 Posted October 28, 2010 Author Posted October 28, 2010 (edited) I'd decided to re-do the body on this Duster. Edited February 7, 2012 by Car Crazy 81
davyou5 Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 That's a nice looking lay down on the primer, Keep up the good work.
Car Crazy 81 Posted February 7, 2012 Author Posted February 7, 2012 Its hard to believe i had this project stored for almost two years thanks to member Casey for supplying the slotted wheels to make this build possible so heres where im at so far.
Dave Van Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 D&C is one of the movies I am building a number of cars from. I have only one completed......... I am about 75% complete on the Duster. I had a '73 built up from my youth and it was built well for the time. I striped the paint and made a few mods. There are a few more you can build.....a few more that you can get very close to.

lowriderphil Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 "looks like O'Bannion finally got his new paintjob" classic line, good start too
