A little short notice, but does anybody know of any hobby shops in the Mesa area. Something well stocked. Going there on vacation on saturday. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Jeff,

Best shop in the Valley for plastic-carholics is right at the Gilbert/Mesa border: HobbyTown USA located at Gilbert Road and Baseline Road (SE corner) at the far west end of a Fry's Grocery Store shopping center. If you go in on Saturday, ask for our good friend Bob ... a fellow car modeler and club member (Moonlight Modelers), he will take great care of you! Especially if you are a Cobra fan. They have a great selection and Bob stays on top of the hobby!

Marty mentioned Hobby Depot, which is the second-best (IMHO) shop for car builders in the Valley. It is on the NW corner of Mill Ave. and Southern in Tempe, again part of a Fry's Grocery Store shopping center.

Neither shop is very far from the heart of Mesa, so you should be good.

Good luck and enjoy!

Thanks again danno and tuffone. One more question, I arrived last night and I spotted a Hobbylobby sign on the way from the airport to mesa. Ithink I was on freeway 60, not far from this superstition shopping mall. I can't find a listing in the phone book. How is this place?

There is a new hobby shop right across the street from Superstition springs mall, called Liberty Hobbies. nice people plenty of tools and kits at reasonable pricing. The Hobby lobby is at US 60 and Greenfield road but it's closed on sunday. but just a few miles west from there, is Hobby Town at Gilbert and Baseline road on the S/W corner.those are about the big three in the immediate area to you.
