crazyjim Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 I'm finally getting something done. Here's the interior for my street '33 Willys. I tried my hand at tuck & roll and making my own arm rests w/door handles. There's flocking in there too. The body is painted and cleared and hope to complete it next week.
MikeMc Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 A 33 willys with a blown SOHC .......I know I'm dead...Cause I'm in Heaven!!!!
Joker Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Great work on the interior! The trunk area is flocked are you making the rear lid open too? thanks for posting Kit Bash
crazyjim Posted January 30, 2010 Author Posted January 30, 2010 The trunk is open in the kit so yeah, the whole trunk interior will be flocked. I added a hinge and filled the recess (I think a spare tire was carried back there.

Longbow Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Jim are you crazy ?Like where are the pics? The interior looks nice Did you have any problems with the flocking?Did you use white glue? Gary Thomason
crazyjim Posted February 13, 2010 Author Posted February 13, 2010 Nameplates from several organizations read Crazy and the ink on my arm says Crazy. I'm proud to say that I earned the nickname when I was in Vietnam. I was able to complete my '72 GMC and posted it "Under Glass". I'm working on the Willys. The engine was giving some issues and I missed the upper firewall when I painted. I BMF'd the firewall. Since I put a tall scoop on the hood, I wanted a tall engine and finally decided to put 2 4 barrels on top of the blower and I need to put on air cleaners or velocity stacks. I rarely have a problem with flocking. I use Ken's Fuzzi Fur that I get from Scale Dreams. I paint whatever to a color similar to the flocking. When dry I lay down a coat of Elmer's glue. I don't even dilute it. I put on the flocking by loading up a food strainer and running my finger into the strainer to make the flocking come out. I usually let the item sit overnight before shaking and brushing out the excess. Oh - I always do my flocking on a clean sheet of paper so I can save the left overs and use again.
