ChrisPflug Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Picked this up for seven bucks on ebay- not exactly built in my style but having a few AMT 71 Chargers and 80s issue Road Runners in the stash should help in putting something together..... A couple pics before it gets a bath
ChrisPflug Posted January 30, 2010 Author Posted January 30, 2010 Was wanting to do a stock version- will see how this body cleans up and how the nose comes off, have some of the thin, yellow 80's RR bodies and this one is just a lot cooler- sharper detail (and the only version with the hood pin lanyards molded in the header panel) Was going to go with the AMT Charger chassis and (modified) interior

Marc @ MPC Motorsports Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 I would have bid on that one had I caught the GTX hood. I have this from Bandit Resins to convert one of my MPC 1971 Road Runner builders. I'm getting ready to order Keith Marks' 1971 GTX decal sheet for this one.
ChrisPflug Posted February 2, 2010 Author Posted February 2, 2010 After a lengthy bath- there was a nasty red brush paint job under the black that was probably older than I am- looks like it should only need a little body work (tweaked A pillar, glue spots from the nose and wing). First mock up with the Charger parts
Railfreak78 Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 Lookin good so far and it's a cool build, looks fun
Guest Mustang3.8 Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 Nice start, Chris. May i ask what you are doing with the '71 Charger body, chrome, and glass?
