I have a series of pictures, I am looking for some information/guidance on the best way to graft or integrate, The donor kit piece to the resin body. somewhat like how the rear panel was done. I dont work with resin very much and any help would be appreciated.

Make sure the resin piece is very clean before you do anything.

To join styrene (kit plastic) and resin, use a cyanoacrylate (CA) type superglue. I would recommend you pick up the gap-filling type super glue and an accelerator (Zip Kicker is one brand), too.

i do cast the gt grille/bumper. you have an old casting. that looks like alumilite and i havent used that in quite awhile. nowadays i cast the rear panel in place. if you need a gt grille, shoot me a pm

I like the AMT grille better, Because it is a whole lot cleaner than the resin part. when it was cast part of the AMT kit was used on the outside(fender) That is evident when you look at it up close. However it appears like it was grafted with a promo piece for the headlight buckets, and grille. It is a bit Ragged, and I think it is too much work to fix it the way it is. I can cut and paste the Emblem and the bars from my resin part. The Intent of the Question Originally was asked Where do I make the Cuts to Resin and the AMT part to make them look Seamless. I dont want to build a GT version just a base mustang with the turn signals in the hood.

I did buy this some time back. I liked it because it was a base model. which is what I am looking to build. I want to keep going with this one,The panel in the rear came out really good and I feel that if I can Massage the front a little bit I will feel better about my skills.Thank you for your Offer If I need assistance I will drop you a note

humm.. i used an original amt kit. i did put in the engine bay, but i didnt graft any promo parts on the body.i mastered the kit to fit with the current 67 amt kit

I was looking at your pictures and you are using the wrong donor kit. Instead of the Revell 1968 Mustang, you need the AMT 1967 Mustang fastback kit. Using the right kit might make your job easier.

Marc I am using the 67 AMT kit, The one I have pictured is AMT. It is one, that I cut out the inner structure out of for another car and I am using this body for mock up purposes at the moment.

Jeff I only said this because the front bumper has 1967 across the front.It does have some areas that are definately different than the AMT mustang kit that I have. which is the version showing a Black and red accented car on the front and sides.

I see that now that I looked at one of my AMT kits. You are wanting to build a base Mustang? Did that resin body come with the ribbed GT tailpanel? Want to swap for a resin plain one? Let me know...
