whale392 Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 (edited) This kit started as an AMT kit that I was building into a model of a friends car. Well, he got rid of the car before I finished the kit. Now, like so many of my other builds, it languishes in the 'need to be finished' stack. Enjoy, and as always, comments and critisisms welcome. , , , I really liked his car, and wish to one day have a real 'Z' just like this (only I won't sell it). Edited February 4, 2010 by whale392

Jason Vandergriff Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 That thing looks great. I've got one in the getting to contest table stash and this is some great inspiration.
whale392 Posted February 4, 2010 Author Posted February 4, 2010 Thanks for the kindnesses. I will hopefully finish this build this year.
Eric Stone Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 That looks pretty cool. A buddy of mine had an 81 non-turbo in High School for a little while. His was a piece though... lol You using the six for it? It would be cool with a SBF, SBC, LSX, or ModMotor swap.
Jason Vandergriff Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Im going lt with mine ls would be killer but not sure if i can find another ls motor thats complete.
whale392 Posted February 5, 2010 Author Posted February 5, 2010 Yes, I am using the L series engine that came in the 240Z from Revell with the Fuel-injected intake adapted to it and I have made my own tubular header and wastegate for the exhaust side. I have another of these kits partially built up as well......that kit has recieved the DOHC S20 inline 6 from the GT2000R Skyline kit. I have the Revell 240Z with a twin-turboed 383 SBC as well.
