Mudpit602 Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 (edited) Iam building this truck for a gluebomb contest for Moonlight Modelers club in April Edited April 1, 2010 by Mudpit602

Mudpit602 Posted February 10, 2010 Author Posted February 10, 2010 Yea Iam almost there. Still have a long way to go.
Railfreak78 Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Toby this one is a heck of a glue bomb. I'll be surprised to see this one back from the dead.
Mudpit602 Posted February 12, 2010 Author Posted February 12, 2010 I have cot the truck striped of all its paint and started on making he Tranny tunnal bigger.
tuffone20 Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Hey Toby how you coming on this one? Looks like your off to a good start.
Mudpit602 Posted February 22, 2010 Author Posted February 22, 2010 This Truck is going to be a lot nicer then the first time I built it.
walt francis Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Ok, This baby is really starting to ROCK now so keep it coming.
Mudpit602 Posted February 24, 2010 Author Posted February 24, 2010 Ok, This baby is really starting to ROCK now so keep it coming. thank you ill have more pics in a few days
whale392 Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Bringing it from the crypt to the ballroom floor nicely.
hawkeye649 Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 I like the plow... er front suspension. This model was the first 'super detailed' and 'not show truck' one I ever built. Old farm truck with tools made from sprue and everything. Like the build!
tuffone20 Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Toby, your glub bomb is coming along really nice!! Keep the updates coming and what color will you paint it this time around?
Jeff Sauber Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 I like the lowered stance, although you wouldn't want to drive it around my home town........We have way too many potholes and ruts everywhere..... You'd likely end up carrying what's left of your front suspension home in the back of a tow truck...
Mudpit602 Posted February 27, 2010 Author Posted February 27, 2010 Thank you all for liking the build. Ill have more pics after a few day. Work is getting in the way of building models. LOL
tuffone20 Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Thank you all for liking the build. Ill have more pics after a few day. Work is getting in the way of building models. LOL Hey Toby, maybe you would have had more time to work on your model if you hadn't spent time working on this...... LOL
carchub Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 (edited) Thats lookin pretty awesome! Might I ask though, what is the green stuff you were using? Edited February 27, 2010 by The Cheese
Mudpit602 Posted March 1, 2010 Author Posted March 1, 2010 Thats lookin pretty awesome! Might I ask though, what is the green stuff you were using? It is green putty by MMD You can find it at any hobby store.
Mudpit602 Posted March 4, 2010 Author Posted March 4, 2010 I got some paint on the truck. It dosesent look the greatest but Iam trying to go for the high school teenage build with a back yard paint job.
Jeff Sauber Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 That's comming along well. Not a bad shade of blue either. Does the hood shut all the way? also, that front suspension dragging on the ground scares me!!.....lol. I bet that would look cool at night going down the road......we'd have to call you "sparky" as a nickname......
Mudpit602 Posted March 6, 2010 Author Posted March 6, 2010 That's comming along well. Not a bad shade of blue either. Does the hood shut all the way? also, that front suspension dragging on the ground scares me!!.....lol. I bet that would look cool at night going down the road......we'd have to call you "sparky" as a nickname...... I found out what was holding the hood open. The core support was in the way. I trimmed it down and now the hood shuts all the way.
Jeff Sauber Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 I found out what was holding the hood open. The core support was in the way. I trimmed it down and now the hood shuts all the way. If I recall correctly, I think I encountered that same issue back when I built one of these kits....At least it's an easy fix. Keep the updates comming.
