Casey Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 How close to stock can the Revell Dick Landy '68 Charger kit be built? basically, I am wanting to combine some of the stock '69 Charger R/T parts I have (Magnum 500 wheels, interior, etc.) with a '68 Charger, without buying the current '68 for all of the redundant stock and racing parts. I'm just not sure what the Landy version actually contains.
ChrisPflug Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 The Landy kit does come with a '68 back seat As noted, their is no stock air cleaner or iron manifolds for the Hemi and no 440 option Built a '68 years ago with this kit and the '69, it took a nasty spill soon after and is stashed away awaiting a rebuild- Don't have the unbuilt kit to compare with the photos. I went with headers hooked up to the full dual exhaust and robbed a chrome dome air cleaner from another kit The body is the same as the earlier '69 but without the vinyl top texture molded in- it still has the '69 side marker reflectors which would need to be filled for a '68 as well (although the body will save quite a bit of sanding if you're building a "General Lee or other non- vinyl top '69
