hotrod347 Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 i built these last Oct. or so just after joining Agapemodels.com. these were strictly parts builds and from whatever else was laying around on the bench. i bring to you Brutus Sr. ('29 hauler) and Brutus Jr. (rat gasser) this last lil guy was more of a fun build per say while i was doing the finishing touches to the hauler. it's a '23 Ford T bucket altered. it was my first attempt at using aluminum made velocity stacks out of TV antenna and making the rail frames from the same materials. hope these pics came out alright and aren't to blurry for ya guys. my talent in photography for up-close shots are still amateurish as you would say. i'm more into far off shots when i'm out with my camera's. joshua
Railfreak78 Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Welcome to Under Glass Joshua. I'm diggin' the hauler. You don't see a lot of tandem axle trucks on here and certainly not that era. Nice job.
Guest Gramps-xrds Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 That's a unique idea you got there. Never seen a model T hauler done before. As for the pix being blurry, you could do what I do. stand back and use the optical zoom w/ the macro on. Seems to do the job.
Porky Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Hey Joshua, Welcome to the boards !!! That hauler is just tooooooooo coooooool !!! Where did you come up with those cowl mounted headlights on the hauler ???
Guest Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Hey Josh, glad ya came over! Imaginative work!
disabled modeler Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Hi Joshua!...I like them! Pretty cool rides made from spare parts....Keep up the good work! And welcome to the fourm!
hotrod347 Posted February 11, 2010 Author Posted February 11, 2010 thanks to all for the nice welcome. the answer to the question for the headlights is i took a set of 57 vespa headlights i had layin in my parts box and just added it to the body.
hotrod347 Posted February 11, 2010 Author Posted February 11, 2010 here's where i keep the ratrod duo and another rat. this s a display over my toilet, thats right my toilet  odd place i know. i just recently added the Plexiglas window to keep the dust out of the cubby hole. forced air is not a model's best friend. the car to the left of this shot is my first attempt on a rat. it was done 2 years ago. lucille is a '41 plymouth business coupe.
RodneyBad Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Ya got some Wicked Rides. I like the Hauler.. Very cool. Welcome aboard..
John Truby Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Now that you have your models displayed in the bathroom, maybe you should have named one of them "John"
