chuckyr Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 It is an actual wrecker body. Bro is a Swedish company. They haven't sold any new wrecker bodies in the US since the late 1980s but still support the ones in service and offer new models in Europe.
Madd Trucker Posted February 15, 2010 Author Posted February 15, 2010 Thanks for tyhe replies I see Ihave a bit of work to do and have this from anouther forum that will help alot http://public.fotki.com/modeltrucks25thscale/truck_brochures/bro/bro-wreckers-1984/
93Z34 Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 If you go to the Miller Industries website, you can download the drawings for the wrecker bodies they produce. They have drawings for Challenger, Century, Vulcan, and a few others on their site as they currently own those companies. Those drawings will give you a good idea on how to fabricate a more modern style of wrecker body if you so choose. The company I used to tow for had 4 trucks with the same wrecker body as what comes in the Italeri kits so I will be able to build the trucks we had with little modification. I got lucky with that.
studioman3 Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Brian, that's a cool site, lot of pics there, thanks for the link. Tim
