Irvin Arter Jr. Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 I just started working on a new resin body from “Drag City Casting†(Ed Fluck) His new 37 Chevy with a chopped top. (included corrected and mounted rear fenders and matched hood) If you don’t have one of these you need to get one NOW! It is incredible. I am doing a late 50’s style mild custom with mine. I am using 53 Corvette hubcaps. I mounted the headlight buckets and the spots with brass wire. I will be using HOK pagan gold. I think I am leaving the paint flat finish but, that may change later. It will be a curbside so I can get it low! I haven’t been this fired up about a model car in a few months! beg, borrow,or steal to get one of these!
Duntov Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 Hi there!!!! The resin casting looks geat.....three other things I like a lot.....I think it's neat that you are using the pin technique....it's just a cool way to make a part really "stay on".....and second......now I finally know what to do with 53 Corvette wheel covers!!!!! Great idea and a neat look........and third I think it's neat to do a curbside......I have many built up cars and the full dress ones are cool but some of my all time favorites are the curbside cars!!!!! Regards Bill
