I don't foresee any restorations here. The Doc likes to keep his stuff as original and un-restored as possible. He likes them to be as close to the way they raced as they can be.

Yeah, but it old and mostly dry rotting out. The foam on the seats was in pretty bad shape, one of the doors is seperating and all the rubber: seals and hoses need replaced.

It just needs some TLC, letting is sit around for another 20-30 years isn't doing it any favors.

Oh, I see what you're talking about. they do have the facilities to make those types of repairs. What I meant was don't expect a major overhaul, ground up resto job. When I was there last they were doing some work on the Maserati 300S. The cars are, for the most part kept in running condition.

Brian,

In black plastic it is the US Airfix release of a Japanese kit, probably a Gunze Sangyo.

Thanks for the info I have never done one of these so I'll have to do some research and maybe make it somewhat look like it's suppose to :D

This is an easy one. Porsche only built one and raced it twice! There are similar private built cars but extensive body mods would have to be made. Don't sweat it. You can make a street car that will look racier than any 911 with a whaletail stuck on it.

Correctamundo. They were nicknamed 'coffee train'. They were built as a joint venture between Allgaier and Porsche especially to serve on south American coffee plantations.

yes its a cool idea... im personaly not a big fan of steelies. but they do look sweet on some cars, lol.

and nice porsche carrera, may i ask what blue is that?

and is that the revell kit?

The blue is mixed from some light green nail polish I had and a ton of blue green, and interference blue pearl ex powders. and this was the second body I painted after the first one got dropped and shattered. This was supposed to be my version of Sally from Cars, for my little girl of course...

And its one of the Fujimi Enthusiast kits, I've got like 7 of them..lol, including the ultra cool 80's excess revell/fujimi Gemballa Avalanche, might be time to bring that one out..
