chris4q Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 (edited) Here's another one just finished. The body is from a 1/24 static Academy kit. To my surprise the body was pretty thick and real strong. The kit is a real nice representation of the Ferrari 250 LM. Just little scratch building and chassis was hand made by Jairus with a Mura "A" can. I had a lot of fun painting this car. I hope you like it. Edited March 8, 2010 by chris4q
RodneyBad Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Stunning. Paint looks Fantastic. DO you actually run these too or just for show? Of course, what fun is a car if ya can't race it?
Ragnar Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Nice Job. It will handle better if you solder the drop arm solid. How do you like that chassis? It is very like the Chassis I was building in the mid 60s, I mostly build steel pan chassis today! CHEERS!
Peter Lombardo Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Ahh, slot cars.....it brings back memories of my ut! But I have to say I never ran anything that looked that good or had as clean a chassis as that does. My solder jobs back then let a lot to be desired. My cars spent as much time on their backs in 5 car pile-ups as they did on their wheels. Great paint job. I have that kit, got it just for the body....one of these days I will get around to it. You did a great job on her. I wouldn't let it go anywhere near a track.
MonoPed Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Very nice!! And I thought I was the only one retarded enough to do that paintjob...lol!
