Steve H.
Do you have any pics you can post? I'm a mechanical moron, so I have to ask... The projection circled in red... What is that intended to be? The area cirlcled in green... Thats the place for the oil filler tube, right?
nwmud
I would think the green circle is for the thermostat housing to route to the radiator. But then again I have not built any blowers lately.
Steve H.
Sorry for not explaining earlier... Thats an intake for a flathead... the green circle is at the backend. The rad hoses come off the heads.

MikeBoyle
Here's some good reference pics: http://public.fotki.com/crstan/reference_pics/ The area in green is where the fuel pump is attached. The area in red is a pop off valve that is designed to release pressure if the engine were to back fire, preventing damage to the supercharger. Mr. Metallic
Thanks... Those are great pics... and as near as a fellow model builder, Mr. Metallic. Wow, i forgot those pics were in there. From the look of it they are actually Dave Lindseys pics. I copied them for personal reference, not sure how they got onto my public fotki site. Dave, if they are your pics let me know and I'll credit you and/or remove them

I ummm... borrowed them from your Fotki for reference and uploaded them to a "Flathead" fotki folder of my own, crediting you for them. Lyle Willits
Here's one of Norm's engines, assembled. This should help a little.
MikeBoyle
Craig, don't know if they were origionally his, but you give Dave Darby credit for the pics in your album (I also checked Dave Lindsey's Flathead album and didn't see them in there).
