I still really need a set to do my log truck and trailer. Can anyone help. I do not like anything I have found online and hate the idea buying two models for nothing for then the wheels.

I am needing the tires and wheels that come in kits like the italeri Peterbilts and other big model trucks.

There is a plethora of very accurate after market wheels available. From spoke to steel discs to polished aluminum.

What I meant to say is, what kind of wheels do you think would look best on the truck your building? Even if you have never seen them in a kit, they may be out there in resin.

Do you have any pictures of the truck your building? Is it an over the road highway rig or something more heavy duty like a logger or dump?

Whoops, sorry, I just went back and read your building a log truck. Will it be an off highway rig like the one in your picture or one that travels on paved roads?

Rronning84,

take a look here: http://www.modelltrucksandparts.at/shop/product_info.php?info=p1624_ITALERI-TRUCK-RIMS-IN-THE-SCALE-1-24.html

This is a great online European shop.

In the Italeri section there is a set of the Italeri rims sprue, that is offered standart in the European Trucks kits of Italeri. Also in the near past was availiable a plastic bag which had 12 Italeri tyres. Try them, and ask for both these sets.

Kostas.

Well, unfortunatly, being that your wanting the "Peterbilt" style wheels, your only choice are those from either the Peterbilt 377 or 378 kits. I have remastered them by correcting the front wheel offset, adding a domed center cap and acorn lug nuts to where they look much more like those in your picture but they are currently not being cast and I gave the last full set I had, away.

I am however working on an even more accurate version of the wheel as we speak. I can't say how long before it's ready though.

The off road type tires can be found on Sourkrauts website if you want them?
