Ben Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 Hey all, i'm building the Revell, Monroe Magnum Mustang II, Cobra from 1978. (I've always loved that kit!) Anyway, those old Revell kits leave a lot to be desired so i'm basically just going to use the body, some interior parts and the main chassis. I'm having accurate real aluminum centerlines made for it and wanted to add a bunch of detail elsewhere as well. For starters, where is a good source for a detailed 351 Cleveland? Kit or aftermarket. Second, i'm looking for a detailed Ford 9" and last (for now ), does anyone make the Mustang II tailights as separate chrome buckets with clear red lenses? The tailights are molded into the rear panel in this kit. Oh, almost forgot, i'll be cutting out the plastic grill screen and adding some photo etch or aluminum mesh in it's place. There's a "cobra" snake in the center of the grill that i'd really like to replace with a photo etch one if there's any available? As always, any help will be appreciated! Thanks!
Ben Posted March 16, 2010 Author Posted March 16, 2010 Whoops, sorry for the double post. Can someone please delete one of these?
Ben Posted March 16, 2010 Author Posted March 16, 2010 Hi Steve, thanks for the info! I tried to delete the post myself but I didn't see any way to do so?
Jordan White Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 Hi Steve, thanks for the info! I tried to delete the post myself but I didn't see any way to do so? Look under your post, but above "post reply" for a drop-down that says "Topic Moderation". In it will be an option to delete the thread.
Ben Posted March 16, 2010 Author Posted March 16, 2010 I just found that Motor City Resin has a really nice 351C that's cast by Scale Modeling By Chris. It's offered in stock or street form. The street is exactly what I was hoping to find! The Revell 70 Mustang also comes with a 351C as well as a 302. So, the engine can be robbed and the 70 can still be built!
