jbwelda Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 a big bag of weed...the quality was equivalent to the piece of junk it was inside of (vw thing) however i did manage to get some (free) trim parts.
Adam deCoste Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I don't know about weird, but a found a name tag.... in the name of FAIL. Also weird for this part of the country They have never been on a car. 1st gen celica quarters, just sitting in a field!!! Well, actually more like an old abandoned junkyard, but still really strange for a part of the country that didn't always look nicely on imports i have a first gen celica with the same quarters but look a little to far gone to use but i dont need them any ways
junkman1153 Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 NOT ANYTHING I FOUND IN A CAR ,BUT WHILE WALKING AROUND IN A OLD JUNK YARD WE CAME ACROSS 2 OLD WW2 TORPEDOES AND THE REMAINS OF A KOREAN WAR ERA SABRE JET BEHIND THE BUILDING WAS A STACK OF USED CANNON SHELLS AND CRATES OF JEEP STEERING WHEELS.
Ben Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 got one that beats them all two guys in activity----nuff said needless to say I never whent back and told the owners on the way out So they misunderstood the term "junk"yard? LOL, LOL, LOL, LOL, Oh I kill ME!
Ben Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 One of the strangest things I found in a junkyard was in the trunk of a 1980's Chrysler K-Car. A collection of various prosthetic limbs. There were about ten arms and legs of different amputation lengths and two feet. Great topic BTW! That's weird? I thought those K cars were really cheap! I didn't realize they cost an arm and a leg! Ok, ok, I'll stop!
Nova-ss Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I've found many things inside of cars and trucks.I use to rewire and repair the inside of cars and trucks....in my younger years.I remember on a truck that I was doing alot of wiring and dash work on.I had to take out the bench seat and as my worker and I were removing the seat,we found bags of pills and....other powders....and stuff I did not know what was along with money!!!....lots of 20's.I called the police and they came down and people went to jail.but I've never found parts of people thanks to the good lord.but many other things like some of ya have talked about.when I use to do those repairs,I've been in many junk yards and impound lots and custom shops.you remove most of the interior and dashs...its amazing the stuff you find. Thanks,Chris
KENNEDYJR Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I pulled some doors off of a 1978 Camaro back in the early 90s and foumd some weird stuff in the car. The interior had been attacked with a magic marker and had graffiti everywhere. Under the seats I found some of those little brown glass bottles that people used to carry cocaine in ,a whole load of KY packets and the prior owners drivers license. Not a bad looking girl -must have been fun to hang out with.
Terror Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I got a rock. ; Charlie Brown..I find enough stuff,I don't know I have in my own cars.
evilone Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 A buddy of mine bought a recently retired police cruser and was tearing out the interior to get it re-done. After pulling out the rear seat bottom (this was a non-plastic rear seat) he went back to the interior only to be meet with by a .22cal pistol,a needle,a baggy full of white powder,a baggy full of folage, and a glass pipe, and what appeared to be a hand made paper smoking device. He called the police and showed them that he just bought the car and this was in it before he got it. Also i was helping some friends restore a 1960 cadillac hearse a few months ago. As we removed the rear slab (the part that the coffin lays on. We found the following. several dead rats, tons of dead flowers, funeral cards, used protection items (the previous owners i guess were freaky LOL), three bottles of holy water,a bible, a neckless, two rings, and about $15 worth of change.
Chuck Most Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Just this week, while rummaging around in the trunk of a long abandoned old Cadillac ('60 model, I think, most of the ID features were cut or rusted off), I found a messy wad of toilet paper and what appeared to be a human turd. Guess somebody was out picking parts and couldn't make it back to the office... but that wouldn't explain the toilet paper...
Scale-Master Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 I'd really have to see pictures to believe some of this stuff. I’m with you on that, except I’m not sure I WANT to see what is being claimed.
Chuck Most Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 I think I do have a picture of an earlier junkyard find- a trunk full of severed deer parts. I e-mailed it to a squeamish buddy after I snapped it. But yeah, you don't want to see that.
Guest madazzskilzkustumz Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 DOH! I only parked that 1968 Mustang for a week and it was gone! At least I know where it is now! Ha! JIMMY! I just called my uncle, he bought a new project a few days ago, a 68 mustang coupe, base model nothing really special, he found the following while stripping it down, • Glamour Photo of somebody named "Sheila". She's wearing a cowboy hat with a big feather like Richard Petty • Pay stubs from pizza hut (not Sheila's) • Gallon can of Bondo • Bunch of carburetor gaskets all glued together with indian head shellac • New Shocks (in trunk) • 10 pairs of safety glasses • About 250 pennies • 10 empty Winston packs • Big Chilton's shp manual on "all cars 1965 to 1982". I don't think so • Business card for some guy in Maryland that deals in parts for 79-82 Oldsmobiles (but why?) • Several more empty bottles of margerine vodka • Many many grease rags • Pair of "Vans" jogging shoes approx size 13 • Coffee can full of important bolts • 2 little bottles of Jack Daniels like they use on Airplanes. • Insurance notice telling the owner he didn't send enough money for his payment so they're cancelling the insurance and also want the rest of their money. • A brouchure about the Youth Program offered from the VFW • A couple of Japanese works of art • Army Reserve Training books • The front sway bar that has been cut in half with the "blue tip" wrench • Vegetation growing in the bottom of the doors • Old lottery tickets • Army Reserve decal stuck on the dash pad on the passenger side • Seller BUSTED both of the rear interior panels while trying to remove them. And they were good! Doh! • Headliner is covered with black fur material like that used to make velvet Elvis pictures • one C and one D battery • Remote from a Daewoo CD player (I bet Chester wonders where that got to) • Toby Keith "boomtown" tape • 1999 Newspaper • Pulltab collection • Form for Moms to volunteer to make Gingerbread men for 5th grade Christmas party. • Jesus air freshener • New transmission gasket • Blue industrial coveralls, size 38 extra wormy • Peter Pan glass from Burger King. • Handouts from self-esteem presentation at PTA • Laundry Detergent • Big ol' snake skin • Pacifier • keys • a home stereo in the back seat
