diymirage Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 what i would imagine you want to do is first cut up the interior tub so that the door panels are gone then all you have to do is recreate the inner door panel out of sheet styrene (here is a corvair panel) http://pivonka.natcafamily.org/Images/CorvairWeb/012Inner%20Door%20Panel%20(3).JPG if it were my car i would cut a sheet of styrene and draw a cross in it from top right to bottom left and vice cersa and then just cut the 4 triangles out while leaving the cross and outside frame maybe 3/16th of an inch thick its really just a mather of getting good reference material and having at it
Blake Rogers Posted March 21, 2010 Author Posted March 21, 2010 ya good point but these doors are not apart of the tub heres a pic
Jason Vandergriff Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 That makes it even easier. Just scribe out the panel with the back side of a 11 blade. Once you have that done make your template for your door frame on new sheet stock. Find a reference pic of the inner frame and replicate it on the panel you traced out a min ago. cut sand file to finish and for the real detail nut this can be layered to get the lip that some of the inner doors have.
Blake Rogers Posted March 21, 2010 Author Posted March 21, 2010 thanks for tip thats why i am here is to learn
