Good Evening, So now you know I'm cheap but not really just put a lot of money in my Chevelle & 57 Gasser. Now that I got my bragging rights out I need to ask you gentleman a question. When you cut a chrome piece (plastic) off a tree & some of the chrome comes off how do you touch it up?. Having said that I do not have an air brush & am not the best with BMF like around air cleaners well I guess that is the only place it shows the valve covers really don't & I do not like to much chrome under the hood but anyway any tips on this!

Thank you!

Will,

By the way, if you don't already have one, invest in some sprue cutters.

For the diehard cheapskate, a small pair of jeweler's sidecutters has served me well for decades, and they were about 3 or 4 bucks last time I bought them...maybe even less now, with Harbor Freight on the scene. I use them only for plastic, so they will likely outlive me.

Testors Chrome paint. Try first touching a spot of Gloss Black, and then when cured to the touch, use the Chrome. Some say the black makes the chrome effect better. As an example, the black before chrome layer is a must with Alclad Chrome; if it's good for Alclad, it should be good for touchup.
