FordRodnKustom Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 Hi all, fresh of the bench is my original issue Red Chariot restoration. I tried to recreate the original build. It looks simple but it sure wasn't easy! Paint is good old Testor's 1203 red, excellent repro decals by Greg Holland. As always comments welcome. Started out with this original issue build, from ebay. Here's what I ended up with. Preserving modeling history one glue bomb at a time.
streetrodnut72 Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 Very nice restoration Ron. I like how you even had the chrome replated. Did you have to replace any missing parts? If so, what did you replace?
FordRodnKustom Posted March 28, 2010 Author Posted March 28, 2010 Very nice restoration Ron. I like how you even had the chrome replated. Did you have to replace any missing parts? If so, what did you replace? Thanks. I had to replace the radiator shell, rear spring, top bows, glass and a few other small chrome parts. Other than that it's all original. This kit was handy for that-
