I installed one of MCG's vinil Tops on my 1933 Cadillac Town Car and they are very nice. I know a couple of guys that use ordinary masking tape for that.

Here a couple of pics of my Cadillac Top.

Nice job on Joan's car and I do vinyl tops the same way but on muscle cars.

YEAH, it was model car garage who had that stuff i was talkin about...

How is it to work with anyway??

Is nice to work with and comes with a detailed installation sheet. Easy to cut, flexible and has a very strong adhesive. It is just like installing contact paper.

I agree. I did the Model Car Garage top on a Fairlane and it was black masking tape, maybe gaffers tape.

But if I do another I would probably just use masking tape.

Compound curves are very trick to do though.

I used Evergreen plastic for the seams and chrome trim coved with BMF. It turned out pretty good.
