Jared Roach Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Ok guys, I desided to build this one as a quickie to keep me motivated. It is the "lowrider" edition of the Revell 92 cougar. The story behind this is "somebody" painted it flat black and went muddin. This was a fun build and I recomend EVERYBODY trying a build like this if you haven't yet to do so, it is fun! The only thing that isn't box sock is the tires, there from amt's 88 daytona. I airbrushed the mud on it with some Taymia desert yellow for dust and Taymia flat earth for mud. I am not happy about how the black wash came out in the engine bay so I'm going to redo it. Now here are the pics! I still have a couple of things to do, like touch up the exhaust tips, and glue and mud the lisence plate(which I forgot about). Thanks for looking.
highway Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Great pics! The close up of the front and rear bumpers and the pic of the engine just made me realize something! The engine in the Cougar is the non turbo version of the 3.8 Liter V6, right? With a little modification to the bumpers and the non turbo engine, I can make a model of the 1:1 1990 T-Bird I have in my driveway from the 1990 T-Bird Super Coupe kit Revell made!

Thanks to both of you, I knew the SC T-Bird has the supercharged V6, I got the SC kit to build my 1:1 , but the 1:1 doesn't have the supercharger or the SC bumpers!!

nails3825 Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 lol, this is a cool looking build... great job on the mud and dirt Reminds me of a certain '92 Cougar my boss let me drive one day to pick up supplies ~ his was red. It was during a blizzard, the snow was two feet deep... that car was like a sled, no control at all. I often wonder why he would let me drive it in the snow, let alone drive it at all. Couldn't imagine the reaction he'd have if I did wreck it... many opportunities to do so that day Ahhh... the memories
